Depth of field and photography techniques
Depth of fieldis a concept in photography that refers to the range of distance within a photo that appears sharp and in focus. A shallow depth of field, achieved with a wide aperture , allows only a small portion of the image to be in focus, often blurring the background and foreground. This technique is commonly used to highlight a subject and create a sense of separation from the surroundings, drawing the viewer's attention to the main focal point.
On the other hand, a deep depth of field, created with a smaller aperture, keeps more of the scene in focus, making it ideal for landscapes or shots where detail across the entire frame is essential. Understanding and manipulating DOF can significantly enhance the visual impact of a photograph, helping photographers convey mood, emphasize subjects, and control the viewer's attention.
Here I did both shallow and deep.
