Writing a caption and why captions are important

When writing a caption there are requirements that make it a good one. A good caption provides context, enhances understanding, and engages the audience by explaining what is happening in an image.

To write a caption, start with an action-oriented lead, use present tense to make it feel immediate, and include key details like who is in the image, what they are doing, where, and when. Captions should be short yet informative, avoiding unnecessary details while providing clarity.

Captions are important because they help viewers connect with the image, provide essential background information, and can even evoke emotions or tell a story. In journalism, sports, and social media, strong captions enhance communication and impact.

For practice, one of my class assignments was to practice making caption, here's what I came up with.
