Designing the two-page spread

Design the two-page spread if I had to rank it from 1st to 3rd, I think it would be 3rd. It was very fun to make, and I learned a lot of new skills that I am actually very proud of, but my plans for the two-page spread were very scattered, so I did not know what I wanted to do officially.

At first, I wanted the photo to cover the first and second page, but I realized I wrote a lot of information, and I wanted to include it all. So, I did what I had to do and made it smaller.

Another problem was, I had to add more photos because so far, I only completed the cover and the table and contents and only placed three photos!! The past swim magazines I have seen don't have many photos and have one simple large photo with a lot of text, so I had to improvise.

At this point, I figured about what my plan was and planned to add three photos to my two-page spread. I talked about my swim coach, and I realized I should include a photo of the person about. Based on this photo, I was having many thoughts on what the font sizes should be and how I could get it all to fit nicely.

In this photo, I was placing this rest of my article paragraphs and changing fonts sizes and changing around colors. My main problem here was font sizes, and I have to admit this might have been my error, but I tried my best to include my article and make it all fit.

This is a close photo to my end result, but I had a lot of fun doing the pull quote. I spent some time doing it, because sometimes it wouldn't do what I wanted or came out how I wanted it to look. Again, font sizes were a big problem for me throughout this two-page spread, but I think I prevailed, and it turned about pretty neat!!!

Thank you for reading and watching my journey!!
